JAKARTA The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) needs 90,000 undergraduate graduates to support the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program which will be run throughout Indonesia.
Tens of thousands of these professionals will be placed in 30,000 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in various regions.
"So, 90,000 jobs are open to our fresh graduates," said Deputy for Systems and Governance of BGN, Tigor Pangaribuan, in a statement quoted on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Tigor explained that the workforce needed includes two areas of expertise, namely nutritionist and accountant. Each SPPG will be filled by one nutritionist and one accounting graduate who is between 22 and 30 years old.
"So one nutritionist per service unit means 30,000 nutritionists later. Plus one accountant also per service unit," he said.
He added that the MBG program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto was not only aimed at improving the nutritional quality of school children, but also had great potential in moving the wheels of the national economy.

"This program opens up jobs and opportunities for purchasing food directly from farmers in villages, so that it can motivate agricultural sector players," he added.
Currently, BGN has formed 1,295 SPPGs spread across 38 provinces. To achieve the target of 82.9 million beneficiaries by 2025, the government is targeting the formation of 30,000 SPPGs throughout Indonesia.
