Risma's News Today, Goes To The KPK To Discuss Bansos Data

JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini returned to the office of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). His visit was to discuss the progress of improving data on social assistance recipients (bansos) which is currently being carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"The KPK received an audience from the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini regarding the progress of improving data on social assistance recipients (bansos) which is currently being carried out by the Ministry of Social Affairs according to recommendations based on the KPK's study," said Acting KPK spokesman for Prevention Ipi Maryati Kuding to reporters, Friday, April 30.

During his visit, Risma was received by two Deputy Chairmen of the KPK, namely Alexander Marwata and Lili Pintauli Siregar accompanied by the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of Pahala Nainggolan and staff at the Monitoring Directorate and the Directorate of Public Services and Complaints.

"Complete information on the agenda and discussion will be delivered after the meeting," said Ipi.

This is not the first time Risma has visited the KPK. On January 11, he went to the anti-graft commission office to ask the KPK for assistance regarding social assistance issues.

"We hope that we can be helped to avoid and improve, maybe there are problems that we have to solve," Risma said in a press conference broadcast on the KPK RI YouTube account, Monday, January 11.

In the same press conference, Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Nurul Ghufron, said that his party together with the Ministry of Social Affairs discussed a number of things including so that social issues programs can be on target and not cause problems in the future.

Moreover, currently, the data used as the basis for providing social assistance is a population identification number (NIK), although not all beneficiaries have identity cards.

"We also know that it turns out that the targets who have social problems do not all have KTPs or NIKs. Therefore, it is necessary then to reach out to a wider range of targets who have these social problems," said Ghufron.

In addition, data management and updating were also discussed in the meeting between Risma and the KPK. Data on social issues, said Ghufron, is dynamic data and is always moving.

This is because this data is related to changes in population status such as marriage, divorce, population displacement, and death.

Not only that, Risma also asked the KPK to help the Ministry of Social Affairs to foster integrity, especially in relation to the implementation of this social assistance.

"He submitted a request to the Corruption Eradication Commission for the integrity of this social assistance organizer, hoping to have the same empathy and dedication to the burden of social problems," he said.
