NUNUKAN - Deputy Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Ingkong Ala, appreciated the visit of the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) to the border in Kaltara. This visit is expected to improve the quality of state border management and infrastructure in border areas.

Meanwhile, the Main Secretary of the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPP RI), Komjen Pol Makhruzi Rahman, revealed that infrastructure development in border areas, including in Kaltara, is part of the priority of national strategic programs.

"Currently there are 15 integrated Border Posts (PLBN) throughout Indonesia, including three of them in North Kalimantan, namely PLBN Sei Mosquito on Sebatik Island, PLBN Labang in Nunukan Regency, and PLBN Long Nawang in Malinau Regency," said Komjen Pol Makhruzi.

Makhruzi said that the existence of PLBN has proven to be a new center of economic growth that encourages community activities and strengthens connectivity in border areas.
