KPK Confiscates 14 Lands Worth IDR 18 Billion Related To Corruption In Procurement Of Trans Sumatra Toll Road Land

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated 14 plots of land in Lampung and South Tangerang. This forced effort was made because the money to buy the assets allegedly came from alleged corruption in land acquisition around the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) for the 2019-2020 period.

"KPK carried out a series of investigative actions in the form of confiscation of 14 land parcels, details of 13 located in South Lampung and 1 others in South Tangerang," said KPK Spokesperson Team Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, May 6.

Budi said the confiscation was carried out by investigators on April 29. "The total assets are Rp. 18 billion whose source of funds is suspected to have come from allegations of corruption (which is being handled, ed)," he said.

The KPK said this land had been paid off. Confiscation will then be carried out as an effort to recover state losses.

"It will be demanded to be confiscated by the state," said Budi.

Previously reported, it was previously reported that the KPK had named three suspects in the corruption case of land acquisition for the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) carried out by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) in 2018-2020. They are BP as the former President Director of PT Hutama Karya; former Head of the Division of PT Hutama Karya; and IZ from the private sector in the JTTS land acquisition corruption case.

It's just that the detention has not been carried out because it is waiting for the calculation of state losses by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

A suspect in this case, Iskandar Zulkarnaen has died. The KPK then decided to investigate allegations of corruption by focusing on asset recovery or recovering state losses.
