He said the body parts found were the right leg which was found in the upstream direction of the river about 2.3 kilometers from the initial location where the victim was attacked by a crocodile.

"This body cut after being examined at the Ujung Gading Health Center turned out to be in accordance with the victim's right leg," he said.

His party immediately handed over the pieces of the body to the victim's family for immediate burial.

"For the search to continue to this day. However, later we will re-evaluate it with the team and family," he said.

According to him, according to standard operating procedures (SOP) the search for victims attacked by crocodiles can last for seven days.

"According to the SOP, the search can be carried out for seven days. Today is entering its fifth day," he said.

In addition to using rubber boats and thermal drones, the search also involved at least four local fishing boats.

The victim is a resident of Muara Simpang, Nagari Koto Sawah, Lembah Melintang District, West Pasaman Regency.
