Pramono Promises Every Wednesday To Leave For Public Transportation, Wants To Give An Example To ASN

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung promised to start working using public transportation every Wednesday, as he instructed the state civil servants (ASN) of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

The order for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government ASN to increase public transportation every Wednesday was issued by Pramono through the Governor's Instruction (Ingub) Number 6 of 2025.

"Because I am part of the decision, especially tomorrow there will be a hearing in the DPR, I want to start tomorrow morning from the official residence by public transportation to the first event," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, April 29.

Pramono realized that efforts to awaken his subordinates in diverting the use of private vehicles to public transportation needed to be exemplified from them as regional leaders.

"Whatever policy is made, if it is not carried out it will be useless and if it is not given an example by the leader himself, it will be useless. So tomorrow I will start, Bang Doel and I will also start from their respective places," said Pramono.

On the one hand, Pramono admitted that it was difficult to find access to public transportation from the official residence of the Governor of DKI on Jalan Taman Suropati, Menteng, South Jakarta to DKI Jakarta City Hall. However, he will still try this.

"This is our spirit to start using public transportation. The problem is myself. Because now I live in Suropati Park 7, if you want to go to City Hall by transportation, it's generally not there," he explained.

It is known, in Ingub Number 6 of 2025, Pramono instructed all DKI Jakarta Provincial Government employees to use mass public transportation to depart and work, as well as mobility for the implementation of tasks every Wednesday.

The general transportation includes Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, LRT Jabodebek, KRL Commuter Line, airport trains, regular buses/angkots, as well as ships and shuttle vehicles for employees/employees.

This instruction is excluded for employees who are sick, pregnant, people with disabilities, and field officers who need certain mobility.
