Police Arrest Last Daily Workers In Karawang Who Became A Cannabis City

JAKARTA - Police officers from the Narcotics Unit of the Karawang District Police, West Java have arrested a freelance daily worker who works as a marijuana drug dealer.

"The perpetrator with the initials KT (41) was arrested along with evidence weighing 4.4 kilograms of marijuana," said Head of the local Narcotics Police AKP Aji Setiaji in Karawang, as reported by Antara, Thursday, April 29.

Apart from confiscating 4.4 kilograms of marijuana, the police also confiscated an electric scale and a cellphone.

Of the 4.4 kilograms of marijuana seized, including three large packages wrapped in brown duct tape. Each contains a narcotic type of marijuana weighing 3 kilograms, 24 packs of clear clips each containing marijuana weighing 1,410 kilograms.

"The chronology of his arrest began when officers received information from the public that someone used and distributed narcotics of the cannabis type. After investigating, the officers finally secured the suspect who was currently using drugs," he said.

After conducting a search of the body and house that he contracted, there was evidence that marijuana was ready for distribution.

The suspect, who works as a freelance daily worker, admitted that he got this type of marijuana by entrusting him from the perpetrator with the initials BSU, who is still in pursuit.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrator was charged under Article 114 (2) jo 111 (2) Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum imprisonment of four years and a maximum of 12 years.
