Jambi SAR Adds 3 Days To Search For Teenagers Who Disappear While Hunting For Pigs In RKE Village Forests

The joint SAR team added three days to search for a teenager named Wira (15) who was missing while hunting for pigs in the forest of Renah Kayu Embun Village (RKE), Sungai Penuh City, Jambi.

The Commander of the Kerinci SAR Post, Nurhasni, said that this teenager came from Sungai Penuh City. The extension of the next three days is carried out based on deliberation and discussions with other SAR teams.

"Then, there was also a request from the victim's family and the local community, to increase the search time for the Wira victim, which until now has not been found by the SAR team," said Nurhasni in a statement received in Jambi, Antara, Monday, April 21.

The difficulty in the search is the weather is foggy and it often rains at the location of the RKE forest, so that it becomes an obstacle for the team to find traces of Wira.

Wira (15) disappeared in the forest of Renah Kayu Embun Village, Kumun Debai District, Sungai Penuh City on Monday, April 14. The joint SAR team consisting of Basarnas, TNI, Polri, BPBD, Damkar, PMI, volunteers and the community conducted a search.

The SAR team also deployed equipment such as thermal drones to assist and facilitate searches.

In addition to the thermal drones, the joint SAR team also brought equipment, such as jungle rescue, stretchers, medical equipment, and evacuation equipment.
