Massive Reshuffle Unproven, Speaker Of The DPR: Time For The Minister To Focus On Work

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, congratulated the newly appointed minister of President Joko Widodo.

Puan hopes that the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin administration for the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet can focus more on working after a limited reshuffle. This inauguration also answers the issue of a large-scale reshuffle, which in fact has not been proven.

"Today's inauguration of ministers ends political speculation, the massive reshuffle has not been proven. It is time for the ministers to focus on working," said Puan Maharani, Wednesday, April 28.

According to him, Jokowi's ministers still have many problems to overcome. Especially in relation to the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which impacts on all aspects of people's lives.

"There are problems in front of our eyes, such as the increase in the number of COVID-19 transmissions. Be alert so that COVID-19 cases such as in India do not occur in Indonesia," said Puan.

President Jokowi inaugurated Bahlil Lahadalia and Nadiem Makarim. Both were sworn in at the State Palace.

Bahlil, who previously served as Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), was appointed as Minister of Investment. Meanwhile Nadiem served as Minister of Education, Culture-Research and Technology.
