JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) said that pilgrims who had paid for the 2025 Hajj Travel Fee (Bipih) were declared istithah or met health requirements.
"Alhamdulillah, I have conveyed to the Minister that for regular Hajj pilgrims the payment has been in a surplus, as well as special Hajj pilgrims, and God willing, all those who have paid the fee will be declared isthithah by the Ministry of Health," said the Director General of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Religion, Hilman Latief in National Hajj Manasik Guidance at the Jakarta Hajj Dormitory, Saturday.
Hilman stated that the Ministry of Religion is currently speeding up the visa process for pilgrims for the first departure scheduled for May 2, 2025.
"Currently, until the next few days, the Ministry of Religion will accelerate the visa process for pilgrims, which currently has more than 100 thousand prospective pilgrims, hopefully on May 1, 2025, all prospective pilgrims will be in the hajj dormitory, and on May 2, 2025, some have left," he said.
He emphasized that based on the Law on the Implementation of Hajj Number 8 of 2019, all Hajj officers are mandated to be able to provide guidance, services, and protection for pilgrims to realize the independence and resilience of the hajj.

"The purpose of this Hajj is to build resilience and independence together. We want to encourage pilgrims in the country to build a common understanding, so as to create independence," he said.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Religion (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar advised prospective pilgrims to remind them to worship Hajj without any frills, and continue to follow developments from the Hajj Organizing Body (BPH) to take care of the pilgrimage.
"Intend Hajj not to have any frills, purely for Hajj. Follow the developments of BPH how to take care of diversity," said Nasaruddin.
He said that the pilgrimage was sufficient once as long as it was accompanied by the correct intention to spread.
"The Prophet Muhammad SAW only had one pilgrimage, he had many Umrahs. So, there is no need to have ambitions for Hajj many times, just one time is enough, give opportunities for others to experience the pilgrimage, because one time the Hajj that is famous is the same as seven times the Hajj," he said.
National Hajj Manasik Guidance was held in a hybrid manner on Saturday at the East Jakarta Hajj Dormitory, which was attended by 1,500 Hajj candidates from Jabodetabek, and 141,139 Hajj candidates who were at 500 points online.
