JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo apologized to the entire community for the congestion in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.

Pramono also explained that the traffic jam in Tanjung Priok occurred because the Pelindo truck, which was supposed to be 2,500 trucks per day, was forced into 4,000 trucks per day.
"So there was traffic jams and finally I also just found out this morning from the Head of the Transportation Service. It's no longer 4,000 but it becomes 7,000 trucks per day. This shows that the management's unprofessionalism is in Tanjung Priok," said Pramono.
He has asked the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, to give a warning as hard as he can to Pelindo.

Pramono also emphasized that although Pelindo had said that the overload of the cargo truck was due to a long holiday for three consecutive days and after Eid al-Fitr, but did not want a similar incident to happen again.
Previously, Pelindo said that the widespread congestion in the Tanjung Priok area was caused by three ships loading and unloading beyond schedule.
