Jadi Saksi Sidang Hasto, Eks Komisioner KPU Ngaku Reply Pesan "1,000" Soal Tariff Mangur PAW Harun Masiku

JAKARTA - Former commissioner of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU), Wahyu Setiawan admitted to replying to a message from the former Indonesian Bawaslu Commissioner, Agustiani Tio Fridelina regarding the interim replacement of DPR members for Harun Masiku. However, it is claimed that the intention behind it was just for fun.

The statement was made when Wahyu was presented as a witness at the trial of the alleged obstruction of investigation and bribery in the management of interim replacement (PAW) for members of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period for the accused PDIP Secretary General, Hasto Kristiyanto.

Starting from the prosecutor who studied the Investigation Report (BAP) Wahyu Setiawan regarding operational funds.

"How is Tio's delivery to you?" asked the KPK prosecutor, Wawan Yunarwanto, during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Thursday, April 17.

"As far as I know, Mrs. Tio said there was an operational fund for that," Wahyu replied.

"How much was conveyed?" said the prosecutor.

"I forgot exactly, sir, because I only received Rp150 (million)," Wahyu replied.

Then, the prosecutor presented evidence of a conversation between Wahyu and Tio regarding the offer of the operational funds. The former KPU commissioner also confirmed the offer of Rp. 750 million.

"Well, good, this was asked by Tio, which is blue, brother. Mas, his ops, 750, is that enough, sir? Is that right?" asked the prosecutor while reading the chat between Wahyu and Tio.

"That's right," answered Wahyu.

"That meant Rp. 750 million, right?" asked the prosecutor.

"Yes, it should be like that, sir," answered Wahyu.

Then, the prosecutor began to explore Wahyu's reply chat which said the figure was 1,000 or Rp. 1 billion. At that time, the former KPU Commissioner said that it was just a prank.

"Then you responded to 1,000. What do you mean 1,000?" asked the prosecutor.

"The public prosecutor, can I explain about this background? I just wrote 1,000 mas. Because previously I had discussed with Mrs. Tio that it was impossible to implement it," Wahyu replied.

"Previously, before WA, I had told Mrs. Tio that the request or request could not be carried out," Wahyu added.

Wahyu admitted that he had fun writing the 1,000 numbers because he believed that the PAW arrangement for Harun could not be carried out. In fact, it is claimed that there was no agreement at the beginning of the meeting.

"From this transaction, after Rp. 750 (million), Rp. 1 billion, 1,000 yes, Rp. 900 (million), how much is the deal for the management? What is agreed in the end?" asked the prosecutor.

"There is no deal, because after my coffee there explained that this was impossible to implement," Wahyu replied.

For information, Hasto was charged with obstructing the investigation by ordering Harun, through the Aspiration House guard, Nur Hasan, to submerge Harun's cell phone into the water after the arrests by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) against members of the General Election Commission (KPU) for the 2017-2022 period Wahyu Setiawan.

Not only Harun Masiku's cellphone, Hasto is also said to have ordered his aide, Kusnadi, to drown his cell phone in anticipation of forced attempts by KPK investigators.

In addition to obstructing investigations, Hasto was also charged together with advocate Donny Tri Istiqomah; the former convict of the Harun Masiku case, Saeful Bahri; and Harun Masiku gave money amounting to 57,350 Singapore dollars or equivalent to Rp600 million to Wahyu in the 2019-2020 period.

The money is allegedly given with the aim that Wahyu strives for the KPU to approve the request for an interim replacement (PAW) for the Elected Legislative Candidate for the Electoral Region (Dapil) of South Sumatra (Sumsel) I on behalf of the Members of the DPR for the 2019-2024 period Riezky Aprilia to Harun Masiku.
