Collect Information From Other Witnesses, Ridwan Kamil Called The Last KPK In The Bank BJB Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil would be summoned at the latest in the corruption case in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023. Investigators chose a strategy to collect evidence from other witnesses first.

Ridwan Kamil was dragged into this riot case after his house was searched last March. Investigators then confiscated documents, electronic evidence and a large motorbike (Moge) branded Royal Enfield which is currently still being borrowed because it has not been taken to the KPK Confiscated Property Storage House (Rupbasan).

"There are parties that need to be questioned first," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters quoted on Thursday, April 17.

The information that has been collected will later be clarified to Ridwan Kamil, said Tessa. This is because investigators do not want to just examine Golkar Party politicians without holding materials in the form of statements from other witnesses.

Finally, Brother RK will be summoned to confirm the statements of the witnesses who were summoned first, said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK has named five suspects in the corruption case in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023.

They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi; Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto; Agency Control Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulman; Agency Controller BSC Advertising and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controller of PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma. The investigation warrant (sprindik) was issued on February 27, 2025.

In this case, the KPK suspects that there was an unlawful act in the process of placing advertisements in a number of media. As a result, the state lost up to IDR 222 billion.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended as needed.
