A Temporary Total Of 16 Gold Pendulang Become Victims Of KKB Atrocities In Papua

The National Police conveyed the progress of the identification process for the gold collectors killed by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Yahukimo, Papua Mountains. A total of 16 victims have been identified and returned to their families.

"A total of 16 bodies received at the DKI Yahukimo Hospital have now been fully identified and handed over to their respective families," said Head of Bhayangkara TK Hospital. II Jayapura, AKBP Romy Sebastian, Wednesday, April 16.

Most recently, the DVI team managed to identify one victim on behalf of Ferdina Buma, a man from Rumusu Village, Central Papua. He was found dead in Muara Kum.

The identification process is carried out based on the fits of three secondary data collected from antemortem and postmortem data with the 2025-015 IHK label.

The body was found at the Kum estuary crime scene, and today was successfully evacuated and identified as Ferdina Buma, born in Nabi Re on April 30, 1995, male, and domiciled on Jalan Nabi Re Ilaga KM 36, Kampung Rumusu, Central Papua. Currently, the body has been handed over directly to the family," he said.

In addition, Kaops Damai Cartenz, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani expressed his appreciation for the quick and professional work of the DVI team which has completed the identification process with full dedication.

"We really appreciate the hard work of the DVI Polri team and all parties involved. This is a tangible form of the Police's commitment to always be present to provide the best certainty and service to the community, the security forces will also continue to pursue the perpetrators," said Faizal.

With the completion of this identification process, the Damai Cartenz Police DVI Team hopes that its presence will not only provide clarity about the identities of the bodies but also provide peace for the entire family of the victims' bodies.

Previously it was reported that 15 victims were identified. They include Sahar, Saharudin, and the names Haidil Isdar.

Then, Ariston Kamma, Wawan Tangahu, Suardi Laode alias Kaswadi, Stenli Humena, Yuda Lesmana, Riki Rahmat, and Muhammad Arif.

There were also other victims, namely Safaruddin, Abdur Raffi Batu Bara, Stefanus Gisbertus, Zamroni, and Rusli.

For information, the KKB attack took place on Sunday, April 6. Dozens of survivors were killed and dozens of people were displaced as a result of the action. Currently, a joint TNI-Polri team is hunting for the whereabouts of the perpetrators.
