He said the incident occurred during boarding before the departure of the IW-1267 flight route Gunungsitoli (GNS) to Medan Kualanamu (KNO) on April 13, 2025.

"A customer with seat number 19F with the initials MZ carried a suitcase that had been labeled baggage registered into the aircraft cabin. In accordance with safety procedures and operational standards, the cabin crew (pramugari) directed the suitcase to be put in the rear cargo trunk," explained Danang on Tuesday (15/4/2025).

Danang said MZ was considered uncooperative and disobedient to the instructions. When the flight crew was about to reprimand, MZ actually pushed and strangled the flight attendants.

"However, customers show an uncooperative attitude, reject instructions, try to remove the baggage label, and do not follow the direction of the cabin crew even though it has been explained persuasively," he said.

After that MZ, he continued, took physical action against flight attendants who were carrying out their duties.

"When a further approach is taken, customers actually take physical action in the form of encouragement and strangulation of one of the flight attendants," he concluded.
