Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) Sunar in Manampiar Sinaga said that his party was still conducting studies and processes related to the potential of former workers of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (Sritex) to be able to work again.

"Currently it is still in process. We will immediately update the results again," said Sunardi when contacted, Wednesday, April 16, as reported by Antara.

This follows a statement by the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli who said there were a number of possibilities for victims of the termination of employment (PHK) of PT Sritex some time ago.

"The commitment will be absorbed as much as possible," Yassierli said in an event with the Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo) in Jakarta, Monday, April 14.

The Minister of Manpower said the textile company could still run, considering that Sritex has quite good assets and markets.

"We hope, because Sritex is a good asset. Then the market exists, and previously it was all running again. That's what we expected," said Yassierli.

In addition, the Minister of Manpower said that efforts to restore Sritex's business, including so that layoff victims can work again, were still being processed, considering that on Monday 17 March, the Head of the Sukoharjo Regency Industry and Manpower Office, Sumarno, stated that there were already 5 thousand former Sritex employees who would be recruited for company operations with new investors.
