Inspector General Rudi Setiawan Officially As West Java Police Chief, Replace Inspector General Wiyagus

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo headed for Inspector General Rudi Setiawan as West Java (West Java) Police Chief to replace Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus.

Inspector General Rudi Setiawan previously served as Deputy for Enforcement and Execution (Depdak) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The mutation was stated in the Telegram Letter number ST/688/IV/KEP./2025 dated April 13, 2025.

Regarding mutations and rotation of positions, Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said that this matter was a normal thing. In addition, it only aims to refresh the organization

"Mutation and rotation are natural processes in the organization in order to improve performance, the tour of duty area," Trunoyudo said when confirmed, Monday, April 14.

In the Telegram Letter, Inspector General Rudi Setiawan replaced Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus who was appointed by the National Police Chief to serve as Assistant to the Chief of Police for Operations (Astamaops).

With this mutation, Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus will receive a higher promotion to become a commissioner general (Komjen).

Astamaops' position was vacant after Komjen Imam Sugianto was rotated and was rumored to be filling positions outside the National Police structure.

One of the positions or positions that is widely heard will be filled by Komjen Imam Sugianto, the Deputy Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

This possibility is because Komjen Agung Setya Imam Effendi, who previously served as Deputy Head of BIN, was transferred to Pati Bareskrim Polri.
