2 Days Of Search, Missing Man In Southeast Sulawesi Forest Found Dead

The Joint SAR Team managed to find a man who was missing in the Forests of Kulidawa Village, South Tongkuno District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra), in a state of death.

Head of Basarnas Kendari Aminuddin PS said that the man named Konstantinus Langkaimi (40) was found during the second day of surgery on a dangerous condition for humans by the Joint SAR Team.

"At 10.28 WITA, the Joint SAR team found the victim dead about 200 meters from the location where the victim's motorbike was found," Aminuddin was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Thursday, April 10.

He said that after being found, the victim was immediately evacuated to the funeral home for a handover to the family.

"Then all elements involved in the search are returned to their respective units," he said.

The elements involved in the search included the Kendari Basarnas Ops Staff, the Rescue of the Muna SAR Alert Unit, the Tongkuno Police, the Bone Police, the Matombura Village apparatus, the Kulidawa Village apparatus, the surrounding community, and the families of the victims.

Previously, it was reported that the Kendari Basarnas deployed a SAR team to search for a man who was missing in Kulidawa Village, South Tongkuno District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra).

The missing man was named Konstantinus Langkaimi, who was first reported by the local village head, at 18:30 WITA.

Based on the report, his party then dispatched the Muna SAR Alert Unit Rescue Team to the reported location to provide SAR assistance.

"The distance from the location with the Muna SAR Alert Unit is about 65 kilometers," he said.
