Defendant Fraud Hundreds Of Millions Of Filming Offer Mode In Medan Sentenced To 3.5 Years In Prison

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Medan Kejari, North Sumatra, demanded 3.5 years in prison for the defendant Desiska Br Sihite alias Siska (35), the owner of the Barbie Cia Production (BCP) Studio for committing fraud worth Rp758 million.

"Asking the panel of judges to sentence the defendant Desire Br Sisite alias Siska to three years and six months in prison," said Medan Public Prosecutor Risnawati Ginting at the Medan District Court, Wednesday, April 9, as reported by ANTARA.

Public Prosecutor Risnawati assessed that the defendant Siska was a resident of Jalan Keris, Medan Perjuangan District, Medan City, was proven to have committed fraud against the victim named Alexander.

"The defendant is considered guilty of violating Article 378 of the Criminal Code as the primary indictment," he said.

As for the aggravating thing, the defendant Siska continued, was because he had harmed victim Alexander, and the defendant Siska did not admit his actions.

Then, this case has not yet had peace between the defendant Siska and the victim Alexander, and this case has attracted attention to the general public.

"Meanwhile, the mitigating factors for the defendant have never been convicted," said Risnawati.

After listening to the reading of the Medan Prosecutor's Office's indictment, Chief Judge Lucas Sahabat Duha postponed the trial and continued on Thursday (10/4).

"The trial was postponed, and continued tomorrow with a pledoi agenda from the defendant and his legal advisor," said Judge Lucas.

The Public Prosecutor of the Medan Attorney General's Office, Risnawati Ginting, in her previous indictment stated that this case began in March 2019.

At that time, he explained, the victim named Alexander registered himself at the BCP Studio to be trained as a model by paying a registration fee of Rp. 1.5 million.

"Then, in August 2019 the defendant Siska was the judge of this beauty event offering Alexander to participate in the film at PH (production house) Sinemart as much as 200 episodes, and became a food advertisement star for a fee of Rp. 4 billion," he said.

However, the defendant Siska admitted that he was close to a number of capital artists asking Alexander to pay some money, and the victim believed and was tempted by the offer.

Without suspicion, victim Alexander sent money to the defendant Siska dozens of times from August 30, 2019 to February 13, 2024, totaling Rp758,400,000 or more than Rp758 million.

After the money was given to the defendant Siska, victim Alexander has so far not played 200 episodes of the film according to what the defendant promised.

"So, the victim Alexander suffered a loss of more than Rp758 million and reported the defendant's actions to the Medan Polrestabes," said Risnawati.
