President Prabowo Visits 5 Middle Eastern Countries, Starting From Abu Dhabi

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto started his state trip to the Middle East by visiting Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Prabowo flew from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta to Abu Dhabi, Wednesday, April 9 in the morning.

The PK-GRD presidential plane carrying President Prabowo and his entourage took off at around 01.00 WIB, Wednesday morning, and was scheduled to land in Abu Dhabi, UAE, at 06.00 local time. The time between Jakarta and Abu Dhabi is three hours adrift of Jakarta.

President Prabowo said the goal was to visit the five countries in the Middle East, related to matters of consulting the situation in Gaza, and there were also state visits.

First, I will go to Abu Dhabi, UAE, to meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ) to conduct exchange-talk consultations on the development of world geopoliticals and geoeconomics now and now, "said President Prabowo as quoted by ANTARA.

The President continued his second agenda after returning from the UAE was a state visit to Turkey.

"From there, I will fly directly to Ankara to carry out a state visit in response to the visit of the Turkish President (Reccep Tayyip Erdogan) to Indonesia some time ago," Prabowo said.

From Ankara, the President continued his trip to Antalya, Turkey, to fulfill an invitation to attend the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, which was also attended by a number of presidents and leaders of world countries.

"There, I will consult with him (President Erdogan) on several things, geopolitical and geoeconomic, industrial cooperation, trade, education and culture. We have a fairly broad and comprehensive relationship with Turkey," said the President.

From Turkey, the President continued his visit to Cairo, Egypt, to meet and consult with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on April 12.

"From Cairo, I will fly to Doha, Qatar, carry out state visits and to finalize an agreement between Qatar and Indonesia, as well as the signatures of various agreements and agreements that are quite strategic for both countries," said the President.

Finally, the President closed a series of his overseas trips by landing in Amman, Jordan, to meet and consult with King Jordan Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein.

In the presidential plane group, President Prabowo said he was accompanied by a limited delegation, namely Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. However, several ministers have flown first to the President's destination countries and will join the group to accompany President Prabowo.

At Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Wednesday, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka released the President's departure.
