DKI Pemprov Opens Two AKAP Bus Terminals During Prohibition Of Homecoming

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that his party would open two intercity inter-provincial bus terminals (AKAP) during the Eid homecoming period of 2021.

The two terminals that were opened were Pulogebang Terminal and Kalideres Terminal. Thus, the other two terminals, namely Tanjung Priok and Kampung Rambutan, are closed while going home is prohibited.

"Only the Pulogebang and Kalideres terminals are prohibited from opening during the homecoming," said Syafrin at the DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, April 27.

Previously, DKI Pemprov would only plan to open a Pulogebang Terminal to facilitate non-travelers. However, based on the Ministry of Health's consideration, a terminal in the western region must also be opened.

"From the results of the latest coordination with the Ministry of Transportation, the movement for the western region also needs to be facilitated, so that the ideal terminal location is in Kalideres. Then on the east side of Jakarta is Pulogebang," said Syafrin.

Syafrin reminded that residents who will travel on May 6 to 17 using the bus must have an exit and entry permit (SIKM) which is administered in the kelurahan.

"As soon as the person concerned is about to leave by bus, one of the things that is requested is a letter from the urban village. Of course we have applied the principle of technology, in which the request can be via JakEvo later," he explained.

For information, the Chairperson of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Doni Monardo has allowed parties exempted from this year's Eid homecoming ban to travel. However, the requirements must have SIKM.

"People's trips during the month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr are exempted for logistics distribution service vehicles and travelers with urgent needs for non-travelers," said Doni in Circular Letter Number 13 of 2021.

The excluded reasons are for work / official travel, visits from sick families, visits from grief of deceased family members, pregnant women who are accompanied by one family member, and the interests of childbirth accompanied by a maximum of two people.

Then, people traveling across cities / regencies / provinces / countries during the month of Ramadan and Idul Fitri are required to have a printed travel permit letter or SIKM as a requirement to travel.
