Homecoming Flow Sloping, Contraflow On Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Stopped

JAKARTA - Along with the condition of the homecoming flow which is starting to gradually return to normal, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) informs that traffic engineering in the form of contraflow on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road has been stopped. This policy was taken on the discretion of the Police after traffic conditions were observed to be smooth again.

"Starting at 21.35 WIB, contraflow engineering from KM 70 to KM 47 towards Jakarta was stopped based on police evaluation. The traffic situation was considered to have returned to normal," said Vice President Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, in Jakarta, as quoted by ANTARA.

With the end of contraflow, traffic in both directions of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is now running as usual without significant obstacles.

Ria also reminded all toll road users to always prioritize safety on the way. "Make sure the physical condition and vehicle are in prime condition. Also prepare travel needs such as fuel, sufficient electronic money balance, and obey all signs and directions from officers in the field," she added.

Meanwhile, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk reported that during the 2025 Lebaran return flow period, from H1 to D+5 or March 31 to April 6, 1,454,010 vehicles were recorded back to the Jabotabek area.

The data is an accumulation of four main toll gates, namely GT Cikampek Utama (direction of Trans Java), GT Kalihurip Utama and GT Functional South Japek II (direction of Bandung), GT Cikupa (direction of Merak), and GT Ciawi (direction of Puncak).

The volume of vehicles returning to Jabotabek has increased by 50.1 percent compared to the normal daily average of 968,414 vehicles.

Judging from the direction distribution, the majority of vehicles came from the east (Trans Java and Bandung) as many as 831,107 units or 57.2 percent, followed from the west (Merak) as many as 330,759 vehicles (22.7 percent), and from the south (Puncak) as many as 292,144 vehicles (20.1 percent).

Especially from the direction of Trans Java which entered through GT Cikampek Utama, it was recorded that 507,229 vehicles passed, or a drastic increase of 168.9 percent compared to normal conditions.
