Sukabumi Earthquake Magnitude 5.6, The Tremors Were Felt In Jakarta

JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 occurred in Sukabumi Regency, West Java. The tremors were felt in Jakarta.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the earthquake occurred at 16.23 WIB. The location is 7.85 LS-106.87 East Longitude.

The Sukabumi earthquake that was felt in Jakarta is located 103 km southeast of Sukabumi Regency. The depth is 14 km.

BMKG confirmed that the Sukabumi earthquake had no potential for a tsunami. There have been no reports regarding the presence or absence of damage due to this earthquake.

On social media timelines, many Jakartans claim to have felt the tremors of the earthquake. An earthquake in a few seconds was also felt in Depok.
