The wife of the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto, Maria Stefani Ekowati, visited her husband who was being held at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Detention Center (Rutan).

JAKARTA - The wife of the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto, Maria Stefani Ekowati, visited her husband who was detained at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Detention Center at the moment of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.

From field observations, Maria entered the KPK's Red and White Detention Center at around 09.25 WIB, Monday, March 31, with her relatives. She underwent an examination before being able to meet her husband.

Maria met her husband for more than two hours. When he left, he said Hasto was in good health even though he had to languish behind bars.

"Father is healthy, excited, thank you. Please pray," Maria told reporters at the location.

Hasto's wife admitted that she brought her favorite food, namely ketupat to krecek chili sauce.

He also had a lot of conversations because he had not seen Hasto who had been detained for a long time since February 2025. However, Maria did not reveal the contents of the story in question.

"(Talking, red) a lot. (Give, red) enthusiasm, health. Spirit, health, health, health always," he said.

Before returning home, Hasto gave a message to the family. "Father's message, we have to be strong, healthy. (Member of Eid, ed) Yes, minal aidin wal faizin, apologize physically and mentally," explained Maria.

Maria revealed that it is possible that Hasto's daughter will also visit the next day because she is currently in Japan.

"God willing (children visit, ed). Pray for me," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK provides opportunities for detainees to be visited by their families and relatives. They are welcome to attend the detention center on March 31-1 April from 09.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB.

"KPK also opened food delivery services for detainees on March 31 to April 1, 2025 from 08.30 to 10.00 WIB," said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement quoted on Monday, March 31.

A total of 38 of the 49 riot prisoners participated. Of that number, continued Budi, 22 detainees live in the KPK branch detention center of the Merah Putih building.

"Meanwhile, 16 detainees occupy the KPK branch detention center in building C1," he said.
