JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators are again examining the former President Director (Managing Director) of PT Pelindo II, Richard Joost Lino, as a suspect.

Acting Corruption Eradication Commission spokesman Ali Fikri said investigators were exploring the role of RJ Lino in regulating the procurement process for three units of Quay Container Crane (QCC) at PT Pelindo II. Ali said the examination was carried out on Monday, April 26.

"It was confirmed again to those concerned, among others, related to the role of the RJL suspect in arranging the procurement process for the 3 QCC units at Pelindo II in 2010," Ali told reporters, Tuesday, April 27.

However, Ali did not elaborate on the role that RJ Lino played in this case. Including the material that was asked by the investigator to RJ Lino. It's just that this examination is to complete the investigation file.

"Investigators examined RJL suspects to complete the investigation case files in question," said Ali.

In this case, the KPK suspects RJ Lino to violate the law and abuse his authority as President Director of PT Pelindo II to enrich himself, other people and / or corporations by ordering the direct appointment of a Chinese company, Wuxi Huangdong Heavy Machinery (HDHM) as the implementer of the three-unit QCC procurement project. at PT Pelindo II.

Meanwhile, RJ Lino is currently fighting against the KPK through pretrial. RJ Lino challenged the determination of the suspect by the KPK.

RJ Lino filed a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel). This lawsuit was filed by RJ Lino on the investigation of the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the three QCC units at PT Pelindo II, which charged him as a suspect.

The pretrial case number 43 / Pid.Pra / 2021 / PN JKT.SEL. it was registered on April 16, 2021, while the inaugural trial is planned to be held on May 4, 2021.

Ali said that the KPK Legal Bureau team would immediately compile an answer to the pretrial lawsuit.
