Prepare Eid Prayers, Ampera Bridge Closed During Eid Al-Fitr

Polrestabes Palembang, South Sumatra closed the Ampera bridge during the Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri prayer for the comfort and smooth running of the community while worshiping in the area.

Kasatlantas Polrestabes Palembang AKBP Fina Sukma in Palembang, Saturday, said the closure of the Ampera Bridge will start at 05.00 WIB during Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah, so that several roads are affected, namely Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jalan Merdeka, as well as access from Jakabaring and Plaju to Ampera Bridge.

"We are temporarily closing Ampera Bridge and several other supporting routes so that people can carry out worship more comfortably and safely," he said.

The Palembang Polrestabes Satlantas has prepared several alternative routes to anticipate traffic jams, namely for people from Seberang Ulu to Seberang Ilir, motorists can use the Musi IV Bridge or Musi VI Bridge. Meanwhile, people from Seberang Ilir to Jakabaring or Plaju can cross A. Yani Street or Musi II Bridge.
