List Of Victims Of Death Of Indonesian Umrah Jemaah Bus Accident In Saudi Arabia

Six Umrah pilgrims from Indonesia died in a bus accident that overturned and caught fire in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

Indonesian Consul General Jeddah Yusron Ambary said the bus was carrying 20 groups from Bojonegoro, East Java, including two officers, supervisors and from travel companies.

"Six people died, the rest were injured. Three injured victims are still undergoing treatment at the hospital, 11 others are already at a hotel in Makkah to continue the worship program," explained Consul General Yusron in a zoom meeting Friday, March 31.

The injured victims who are still being treated are:

1. Fabian R Respati (14), King Abdul Aziz Mahjar Hospital, seriously burned

2. Ahsantudhoonni Ghozali (55), Khulais Hospital, fractured bones

3. Muhammad Alawi (22), Jeddah Obhur Hospital, fractured bones.

Previously reported, the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah received information that there was a bus accident in Wadi Qudeid (Madinah-Mecca Road) about 150 km from Jeddah City on March 20, 2025 at 13.30 local time or 17.30 WIB.

The Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah immediately sent a team to protect Indonesian citizens to the location and coordinated with local authorities, hospitals, Tour Leaders, representatives of the Ministry of Hajj, Muassasah and Bus Companies as well as ensuring the condition of the victims.

The Indonesian Consul General in Jeddah Yusron Ambary said the complete chronology was still being investigated by the Saudi Arabian authorities, so the official documents had not yet been issued.

"The bus hit the ambulance which suddenly overtook, then rolled over and caught fire. Both were on the side of the road," said Consul General Yusron.

Consul General Yusron said his party could not confirm how long the identification process would last. However, the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah will continue to provide assistance.

For the funeral process, Consul General Yusron said the Indonesian Consulate General continued to coordinate with the family for further steps.
