JAKARTA - The Banyumas City Police (Polresta) conducted an investigation into a viral video containing allegations of mistreatment of domestic assistants (ART) in Jakarta from Tanggeran Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.
"From the video that went viral on Instagram, we checked whether the information was true," said Head of the Banyumas Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) Commissioner Andriansyah Rithas Hasibuan when confirmed, Friday, March 21, as reported by Antara.
He said that in checking carried out in Tanggeran Village, Somagede District, the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the Banyumas Police Satreskrim found a woman with conditions such as in the viral video.
Therefore, he said, his party made an initial clarification of the victim with the initials S (25) and took him to the Banyumas Hospital for treatment.
According to him, the initial clarification was made to find out the work of the victim and the incident of persecution as narrated in the video or for other reasons.
"We are also coordinating with the East Jakarta Metro Police to ensure the existence of the TKP (scene of the case)," he said.
