Jakarta Kadinkes Call 50 Positive Cases Of COVID-19 After The Marriage Of Princess Rizieq Shihab

JAKARTA - Head of DKI Jakarta Health Service (Kadinkes) Widyastuti said that there were 50 positive cases tied up after the marriage of Rizieq Shihab's daughter. The increase in COVID-19 cases is based on comparing data for two weeks.

Widyastuti in the Rizieq Shihab follow-up trial explained that the data on the number of COVID-19 cases during November 2020 had increased quite a lot. The increment is based on a comparison of data between the first and last two weeks.

"We are a province with data reported before the 14th and after the 14th," said Widyastuti at the trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Monday, April 26.

Widyastuti said that on November 1 to 14 the number of positive cases was recorded as many as 33 cases in Petamburan Village. Then on November 15 to 28, 2020, or to be precise, after the marriage ceremony and the Prophet's Birthday increased by 50 cases.

"The data in Petamburan sub-district from November 1 to 14 are 33 cases recorded. Meanwhile, on November 15 to 28 there were 83 cases," continued Widyastuti.

The data on the increase in the number of positive cases, said Widyastuti, was based on the results of laboratory examinations scattered throughout the DKI Jakarta area.

"In general, from all 67 laboratories scattered in DKI at that time, we were from our lab team," he said.

In the alleged violation of the health protocol in Petamburan, Rizieq Shihab was charged with incitement to the appearance of a crowd at his daughter's wedding as well as commemorating the Prophet's birthday in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. This crowd is taking place in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Rizieq was charged with violating Article 160 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code and or Article 82 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 59 paragraph 3 letters c and d Law Number 16 of 2017 concerning Community Organization jo Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 KUHP in conjunction with Article 10 letter b KUHP in conjunction with Article 35 paragraph 1 KUHP.
