KPU Reuses Logistics For The 2024 Pilkada For PSU In Serang-Banten

SERANG - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Serang Regency, Banten Province, conducted a logistical search for the 2024 Pilkada to be reused at the re-voting event (PSU).

"We are combing through logistics that can still be used during the 2024 Pilkada. Like a sound booth that is still feasible, the PSU will use it," said Serang Regency General Election Commission (KPU) member Muhammad Asmawi in Serang, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 19.

According to him, this is done to save the budget that will be spent during the PSU due to the budget needs of the Serang Regency KPU itself reaching Rp38 billion.

"For cost savings, logistics checks are carried out, for the time being only ballot booths are still feasible. Because the warehouse team is still checking," he said.

In addition, his party will also conduct consultations with the Banten Province KPU regarding the design of ballots because there will be a special sign for the PSU in contrast to the previous Pilkada.

"Because there is indeed a special sign designed for his ballot for this PSU," he said.

Previously, the Constitutional Court decided that the Serang Regency KPU should conduct a PSU for the 2024 Serang Regency Pilkada. The decision was read out by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo in the agenda of reading the case decision Number 70 of 2025 PHP of the Serang Regent which was followed online from Serang.

"Ordered the Serang Regency KPU to carry out the PSU for the 2024 Serang Regent and Deputy Regent Elections at all polling stations in Serang Regency," Suhartoyo said.

Suhartoyo said the PSU was carried out by referring to the Permanent Voter List (DPT), Additional Voter List (DPTb), and the Special Voter List (DPK) which is the same as the November 27, 2024 Election.
