The Chilean Process to join the OECD quickly, Ambassador Mario then shared a solution to Indonesia so that it would run smoothly in the OECD and Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) access process. According to him, Indonesia should involve more support from Latin American countries in the accession process.
"We have a good view regarding Indonesia's efforts to access two very globally significant economic blocks, namely OECD and CPTPP. Participation in the two blocks can significantly increase standards," Mario said in a press release from the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Friday, March 16.
Responding to this, Airlangga appreciated Chile's commitment to support the efforts of the Indonesian government in seeking economic transformation and improving the welfare of the community.

In terms of bilateral economic relations, both parties affirm their commitment to continue to deepen cooperation within the framework of the Indonesia-Chile Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IC-CEPA), including the commitment to finalizing negotiations at the Investment chapter.
"IC-CEPA is the most comprehensive trade agreement owned by Chile. It is hoped that it can open up more investment opportunities and create an increasingly conducive business climate for business actors in both countries," Mario added.
For the record, the volume of trade between Indonesia and Chile has doubled over the period 2020 2024, with a trade balance surplus for Indonesia. One of these improvements is supported by a comprehensive series of economic cooperation under the framework of the IC-CEPA.
