Sea Fence Still Installed In Kohod Village, Fisherman: The Term Is Early Phase Reclamation

TANGERANG - A fence made of bamboo is still installed in the northern waters of Kohod Village, Tangerang Regency. Local fishermen suspect it is part of the reclamation process.

One of the fishermen named the pseudonym Risman, said that the bamboo will be installed in the form of a box as if it formed a building.

"So it's rich in foundations. This is called the initial stage of reclamation," said Risman, Sunday, March 16.

Risman added that at that location there were a number of builders, heavy equipment and suction machines. They seem to want to get the water out, then pile it with sea sand.

"So the suction engine, then hoards the center 1.5 meters away using sea sand to solid. After being in the form of a box, gradually the water area is dredged using sand and soil material," said Risman.

Another fisherman named Marto admitted that he was surprised that the sea fence was still in the waters north of Kohod Village. Because to his knowledge the sea fence has been completed by the Central Government.

"We think everything is finished. It turns out that not all of them," said Marto, Friday, March 14.

With these fences, Marto said that when he asked for sustenance to look for fish at sea, he had to turn far away from these fences.

"Still limp (turns). Because it's still in shape," said Marto.

Separately, the Head of the Banten Province Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service, Eli Susiyanti, confirmed that there is still a sea fence in Kohod Village.

"That's right, mas, in Kohod waters," he said

Based on the results of the last patrol, Eli admitted that the sea fence was only about 600 meters left in his area. He claimed that his party had tried to dismantle it by being pulled a tagboat but could not.

"It takes heavy equipment and pontoons. It has been coordinated with the center," he said
