JAKARTA - AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja, who is suspected of being involved in drug and immoral cases, was removed from his position as Ngada Police Chief, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police.

The removal of the position was stated in the telegram letter (ST) of the National Police Chief numbered ST/489/III/KEP./2025 signed by Irwasum Polri Komjen Pol. Dedi Prasetyo dated March 12, 2025.

"AKBP Fajar has been transferred to Pamen Yanma Polri," quoted based on a copy of the telegram letter received by ANTARA in Jakarta, Thursday, March 13.

The vacant position of the Ngada Police Chief was also filled by AKBP Andrey Valentino, who previously served as the Head of the Nagekeo Police of the NTT Police.

Previously, AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja was arrested by the Police Propam Division for alleged drug and immoral cases.

The Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, Kombes Henry Novika Chandra, confirmed that AKBP Fajar was arrested on February 20 in Kupang, NTT.

Then, on Tuesday (11/3), the NTT Police said they had examined nine witnesses related to cases of alleged immorality or sexual abuse allegedly committed by AKBP Fajar in Kupang, NTT.

Of the several witnesses examined, one of them was a woman with the initials F who supplied a minor who was ordered by Fajar. The incident occurred in June 2024.

F was then paid Rp. 3 million because he had succeeded in bringing the child to the Ngada Police Chief, who was known to have ordered a hotel room in Kupang.

Meanwhile, regarding the use of drugs, the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the NTT Police, Kombes Patar Silalahi, said that from a series of investigations carried out, the examination process did not lead to the drug case allegedly being used by Fajar.
