Good News From Bangka, 1,431 New Corona Patients Recover

JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 in Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, recorded that 1,431 patients had recovered from exposure to the new corona virus.

The tabulated data on the development of local cases on Saturday, April 24 showed that as many as 1,628 people were confirmed positive for the corona virus, with details of 1,431 being cured, 177 people were still being treated (active cases) and 20 people were declared dead.

As many as 1,006 people were declared suspected of corona, 2,642 were in close contact with patients who tested positive for the new corona.

The percentage of patients who recovered reached 86.8 percent and the percentage of patients who died was only 1.2 percent.

Based on data on the distribution of cases in the local area, it was recorded that three districts were declared vulnerable, namely Pangkalanbaru, Koba and Sungaiselan Districts, with a higher case finding rate than three of the six sub-districts in that area.

The lowest spread of new corona virus cases was recorded in Lubuk Besar, Namang and Simpangkatis Districts.

The tabulated data also records the age of people who are vulnerable to being exposed to the new corona virus, namely 55 to 69 years. This was reported by Antara, Sunday, April 25.
