The Profit Of The 'River' Minya Kita Capai IDR 135 Million

TANGERANG - Police revealed that retailers named Awaludin (38) made a big profit from manipulating the dose of two brands of cooking oil, namely MinyaKita and Determination. The total profit obtained by Awaludin for three months reached Rp135 million or around Rp45 million per month.

"From the results of the examination, the perpetrators have carried out their activities from January to March, approximately 3 months. The perpetrators get a profit of Rp45 million each month," said Wadirreskrimsus Banten Police, AKBP Wiwin Setiawan, in Rajeg, Tangerang Regency, Wednesday, March 12.

Cooking Oil Sales Mode

According to Wiwin, Awaludin sells cooking oil whose volume has been reduced to a number of agents in the Tangerang and Serang areas. The selling price per carton or box (containing 12 bottles of 1 liter) of cooking oil from the MinyaKita brand is IDR 176 thousand. Meanwhile, Sanctive cooking oil with 900 milliliters is sold for IDR 182 thousand per carton / box.

The Highest Retail Price (HET) for MinyaKita is IDR 15,700 per liter, but the perpetrator sells it at a cheaper price, which is IDR 14,500 per liter.

Evidence And Packaging Sources

The perpetrator got a packaging from PT. Artha Eka Global Asia KPC Kalampean. The results of the examination showed that the packaging did not have SNI SPPT, distribution permit from BPOM, or halal certificate. In addition, the contents of the net weight of each packaging that should have been 1,000 milliliters turned out to be only about 716-750 milliliters.

Disclosure Of Cases And Evidence

Police found 13 tons of crude oil or bulk oil to be packaged and marketed. The mode of volume reduction in each 1 liter packaging is 220-300 milliliters, based on the Banten Metrology lab test.

Further action

Banten Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Suyudi Ario Seto, stated that his party would follow up on this case to the producer level if their involvement in reducing the volume of cooking oil was found.

"An examination has been carried out on several traders and some have been detained. Starting from retailers and we will raise it to the producer level," said Suyudi. "If later there are other sources, we will definitely follow up as well. The team is also still in the field, specifically for development related to Minyakita," he added.
