BANDA ACEH - Personnel from the Aceh Regional Police's Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) arrested a farmer in North Aceh Regency for allegedly creating provocative content on social media.

MJ was arrested and detained for writing a status on his Facebook account called 'Alu Basoka' which contained provocative elements.
"There is also content or status of suspected perpetrators on social media related to the invitation to open registration for the Free Aceh Movement or GAM," continued Kombes Winardy.
In his status, the perpetrator wrote "Remembering, considering, feeling, because the MoU bin Helsinki is innalillahi ... decided that GAM registration in Sumatra has been opened for GAM who are in Aceh ... terms and conditions apply. GAM Sumatra".
"The status written by MJ is very provocative and it is feared that it will have a negative impact. The suspected MJ perpetrator was arrested in Peureulak, East Aceh, Wednesday (21/4, and secured to the local police," said Kombes Winardy.
The perpetrator was charged under Article 28 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45A Paragraph (2) Law Number 19 Year 2016 regarding the amendment to Law Number 11 Year 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE).
