Ask The Attorney General's Office To Watch The DKI Regional Budget, Pramono: So That There Is No Room For Those Who Want To Use It

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung and DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno visited the Attorney General's Office (AGO) this morning. During the meeting, Pramono asked the AGO to oversee the DKI Jakarta Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).

Pramono said, Jakarta's APBD this year is quite large, namely Rp. 91 trillion. In addition, Jakarta also contributed Indonesia's largest gross domestic product (GDP) compared to other regions, reaching 11 percent.

"Of course we need assistance. So that in a decision that in the future there will be no room, holes, for anyone who wants to take advantage of it," said Pramono at the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, South Jakarta, Friday, March 7.

Pramono admitted that the DKI Provincial Government has also reported the results of an internal audit of the use of the DKI Provincial Government's budget as the initial material for requesting supervision assistance by the AGO.

This assistance, continued Pramono, is needed considering that Jakarta is currently the center of the global economy and is the epicenter of the Indonesian economy.

"We are grateful that the Attorney General welcomed him very well and he is willing to provide assistance. But this assistance is not as good as it used to be, it is still free to be given to the Jakarta government," said Pramono.

"However, regarding the legal aspect, we will always consult with the prosecutor's office," he added.

Continuing, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin stated that his party is ready to provide assistance in supervising the running of the government in Jakarta so as to prevent misuse of the APBD.

"He asked the prosecutor's office for assistance so that in carrying out development activities, especially Jakarta, there are no things that will conflict with the laws and regulations," said Burhanuddin.
