Heavy Rain, 2 Villages In Serang Regency, Banten, Were Submerged By Floods

SERANG - Two villages in Padarincang District, Serang Regency, Banten, have been flooded due to heavy rains that flushed the area since Friday, March 7 in the morning.

Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Serang Regency, Jhonny E Wangga, said that he had received information about the flood incident in Padarincang District in the early hours of Friday.

"At 00.20 WIB, BPBD dispatched members to the location to conduct an assessment," said Jhonny, quoted by ANTARA.

He said heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that hit the area had caused flooding in Citasuk Village and Batukuwung Village, Padarincang District.

Currently, road access in Cisaat Village, precisely on Serang-Padarincang Street, is still cut off and cannot be passed. The water level in Citasuk Village is estimated to reach 100-150 cm.

He appealed to the public to remain vigilant, especially in disaster-prone areas. Residents are also asked to continue to follow information from BPBD and related agencies in order to anticipate possible further impacts.
