Hasto Kubu Tuding KPK Kejari Tayang Transfers Files To Court To Avoid Pretrial

Ronny made this accusation after the anti-corruption commission was rumored to be handing over the bribery case file for the interim replacement (PAW) for members of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the obstruction of the investigation that ensnared Hasto to the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday, March 6.

"We see that what the KPK did today, this is what we have seen our suspicions that it wants to accelerate this case to avoid pretrial," said Ronny in a written statement quoted on Thursday, March 6.

Ronny said the KPK should respect the ongoing pretrial process. Delegation to the Jakarta Corruption Court should be carried out after the decision was made by the South Jakarta District Court.

"Yes, if you refer to the decision of the Constitutional Court, of course you must first respect the existing pretrial, before there is a schedule for the first trial to read the indictment," he said.

Ronny visited the KPK office on Wednesday, March 5 yesterday. He as Hasto's legal team submitted an objection letter after receiving information that the politician's case file would be transferred to court.

Hasto's lawyer, Maqdir Ismail, previously hoped that the absence of the KPK in the two pretrial hearings submitted by his party was not due to tactics. Meanwhile, the KPK said it was legal if there were parties who considered such a kind of thing.

"It's fine if there are parties who have such views," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in a written statement, Monday, March 3.

Even so, Tessa ensured that her agency would work according to applicable regulations. "All these actions can be tested, including one of them through this pretrial mechanism," said a spokesman with the investigator's background.

Diberitakan sebelumnya, KPK mengembangkan kasus suap pergantian antar waktu (PAW) yang menjerat eks Komisioner KPU Wahyu Setiawan dan buronannya, Harun Masiku. Dua orang kemudian ditetapkan sebagai tersangka, yakni Sekjen PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto dan Donny Tri Istiqomah yang merupakan kader PDIP sekaligus pengacara.

Hasto juga jadi tersangka perintangan penyidikan. Ia diduga berusaha menghalangi proses hukum, salah satunya dengan meminta Harun untuk merusak ponselnya dan kabur setelah operasi tangkap tangan (OTT) dilakukan.

Now, Hasto has been detained for the first 20 days at the KPK detention center since last Thursday, February 20. This forced effort can be extended according to the needs of investigators.
