JAKARTA Women's Police (Polwan) from the East Jakarta Metro Police continue to provide trauma healing services to flood-affected residents at the RW 07 evacuation post, Cililitan Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, on Thursday, March 6, 2024.

Even though the flood has receded, many residents still survive in refugee camps because they are traumatized, especially as a result of being trapped when the flood hit.

The East Jakarta Metro Police (Pakor) Coordinator Officer, Kompol Suparmi, explained that this trauma healing activity aims to provide education and moral support for the refugees, especially children.

"We want to provide support so that the children remain cheerful and do not feel afraid or anxious due to the disaster that occurred," said Kompol Suparmi when confirmed on Thursday, March 6, 2024.

In addition to providing entertainment and interactive activities, Polwan also motivates children to keep their spirits up even though they have to stay in refugee camps for a while.

This activity is part of the East Jakarta Metro Police's efforts to pay attention and support to disaster-affected communities, especially for children who need mental and emotional recovery after the flood.
