Bogor City Government Alert, 25 Disasters Recorded In The Last Three Days

BOGOR - Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, directly inspected the disaster conditions in Batutulis, Bogor City, on Tuesday, March 4. The Bogor City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) report recorded 25 disasters, including landslides and floods, which caused one death, namely an 11-month-old baby.

"There have been a total of 25 incidents in the last three days due to heavy rains. We are very concerned and sorry for the fatalities that recently occurred last night, an 11-month-old baby," he said while inspecting the disaster site.

He explained that until now disaster mitigation is still carried out through appeals to the community by the heads of RT, RW, Camat, and Lurah to remain alert to potential aftershocks.

In addition, the Bogor City Government (Pemkot) will also immediately hold a disaster alert meeting to deal with emergency situations and prevent more casualties.

Regarding the emergency response status, Jenal Mutaqin emphasized that it was situational.

He also ensured that the Bogor City Government would continue to take quick and precise mitigation steps.

"The status of the emergency response is situational, what is more important is how our steps in the field can run quickly, on target, and be coordinated properly and efficiently. The Bogor City Government together with Forkopimda are ready to face this situation," he said.

As an anticipatory measure, Jenal Mutaqin appealed to residents of Bogor City to increase vigilance.
