Sukatani Band Rejects Offers To Be Ambassadors, Police: That's Their Right, We Appreciate

The National Police said they appreciated the decision of Sukatani band personnel who rejected the offer to become ambassadors from the Bhayangkara Corps.

The National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo is known to have offered the band to become an ambassador for the National Police after the music group song entitled 'pay pay pay' went viral or became a public spotlight.

"Mr. National Police has given his appreciation for the input of criticism through art. Then also the National Police Chief appreciates him as the police ambassador, but again what has been conveyed earlier is the right to express and we respect it," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters, Monday, March 3.

However, the National Police is said to continue to make improvements in each line. So it is hoped that it can become a better institution.

Moreover, the Bhayangkara Corps will also not be anti-critic that comes from any party. Because, it is one way to evaluate performance.

"We will continue to concentrate, especially the police will make improvements if found in all aspects," he said.

On the other hand, it is said that the National Police is improving services that are maintenance of security and public order (harkamtibmas).

"Perlayanan masyarakat yang perlu kita tingkatkan serta penegakan hukum seperti baru saja tadi, ini bagian daripada bagaimana publik juga memberikan respons positif," kata Trunoyudo.

The Sukatani band rejected the offer of the National Police Chief to become an ambassador for the Bhayangkara Corps. The rejection was conveyed through the @sukatani.band Instagram account on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

"After we uploaded the clarification video, there were so many offers to Twister Angel due to the response to the dismissal. In fact, to Sukatani, the offer to become a Police Ambassador from the National Police Chief, we firmly rejected the offer to become a Police Ambassador," he wrote in his upload.
