BANJARMASIN - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Banjarmasin Police while carrying out regional patrols secured 10 minors who were suspected of being involved in a brawl.

"The children who were arrested were children who were suspected of going to a brawl. We are currently securing them at the Polsek for data collection and guidance," said West Banjarmasin Police Chief Kompol Pujie Firmansyah in Banjarmasin, Antara, Sunday, March 3.

Patrols carried out by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Banjarmasin Police are to anticipate gangster and brawls. Pujie said patrol activities were carried out in the early hours of Sunday, around 01.00-05.00 WITA.

For patrol targets this time, strict action against possession of sharp weapons without permission, narcotics, liquor, thuggery, illegal racing, and others.

The police chief again said the intent and purpose of this activity was to create a safe and conducive public order and security situation, as well as minimize brawls, or street crimes in Banjarmasin, especially in the jurisdiction of the West Banjarmasin Police.

"Alhamdulillah, as long as we carry out the patrol, nothing suspicious has been found and leads to a crime, so that the West Banjarmasin area remains safe and conducive," said Kompol Pujie Firmansyah.
