Both, said Billyandha, died on the climb of Puncak Cartensz Pyramid.

Elsa Laksono died while traveling down from Puncak Carstenz Pyramid due to indications of being exposed to acute mountain sickness (AMS) symptoms. The victim was evacuated to Mimika Hospital at 06.10 to 09.26 WIT.
Meanwhile, Lilie Wijayanti Poegiono died of AMS symptoms when she came down from the summit of Mount Carstenz Pyramid on Saturday, March 1 at around 02.07 WIT after being evacuated by a companion and guide at Teras Dua.
