JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono revealed that the implementation of flexible work arrangement (FWA) is expected to start from D-7 Lebaran or 24 March 2025.

"We have coordinated with the PAN-RB Ministry regarding the implementation of flexible work arrangements or previously known as work from anywhere," AHY said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, March 2.

The hope, he said, was that the policy could help distribute the flow of community mobility early ahead of the Eid homecoming. Starting from D-7 Lebaran, on March 24, 2025, it is hoped that FWA can be implemented.

FWA is a work system setting that allows employees to work flexibly.

In an effort to ensure the smooth flow of Lebaran 1446 Hijri homecoming, the government is taking strategic steps by implementing FWA, this policy is designed to help unravel congestion.

This policy aims to reduce traffic density in the days leading up to Eid al-Fitr, especially considering this year's Eid celebration is close to Nyepi Day.

The government is also working on synchronizing the school holiday schedule to further optimize the distribution of homecoming flows.

AHY emphasized that all of these policies are part of President Prabowo Subianto's direct direction to ensure that the 2025 homecoming trip is safe, comfortable, and affordable for the entire community.

"Once again, please convey to the wider community, this is the government's effort, in accordance with the special directives and directives of President Prabowo Subianto, who wants to ensure people's journey in the holy month of Ramadan, especially Eid, is safer, more comfortable, affordable, and fun," said AHY.

Ahead of Ramadan 1446 Hijri, the government continues to ensure the readiness of transportation infrastructure and services to support the smooth flow of homecoming and return to Lebaran this year.

AHY emphasized that strategic steps had been taken in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's direction.

The government is committed to presenting policies that favor the people so that the homecoming trip is smoother, safer, and comfortable.

"He always wants to present pro-people policies, including in the context of facing this year's Eid homecoming period," he said.

One of the main focuses of the government is ensuring the smooth flow of transportation and reducing ticket prices to make them more affordable.

The government has also prepared strategic steps to improve the readiness of transportation infrastructure, both land, sea, air, and railways.
