Cirebon City Police (Polresta) arrested three perpetrators of coal theft weighing 18 tons in a temporary storage area owned by a private company in Bendungan Village, Cirebon, West Java.
Head of Cirebon Police, Kombes Pol. Sumarni, said the three arrested perpetrators had the initials N (40), D (43), and RR (41). They were arrested after being proven to have conspired in the theft.

"Police who received reports related to coal loss immediately carried out an investigation until they finally managed to identify the perpetrators," he said.

He emphasized that the perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with Weighting, with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
Currently, the Cirebon Police are still developing to reveal the possible involvement of other parties in the theft network.
