Food Bureaucratics For Efficiency, Vietnam Frees State School Costs From Elementary To High School

JAKARTA - The Vietnamese Political Bureau announced a decision to completely waive school fees for students attending public schools, from preschool to high school levels across the country which will take effect from September 2025.

The implementation of this free school policy was carried out after Vietnam first implemented budget efficiency by cutting down complicated ministries and bureaucracy.

The move marks an important achievement in the country's efforts to expand access to education and reduce financial burdens for families.

Reported by ANTARA from VNA-OANA, Saturday, March 1, the Political Bureau has assigned the Government Party Committee to give instructions to the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Finance, and relevant authorities in coordinating the implementation of the policy.

Based on the current Vietnam Education Law, elementary school students in public institutions have been exempted from school fees.

Sejumlah daerah, termasuk Qung Ninh, Hi Phmenggung, Ymencah Böri, Qung Nam, Khhroh Höla, pence Nng, Böl Ra - Vng Thongu, Bönh Dng, dan Long An, telah lebih dulu membebaskan biaya sekolah bagi siswa.

Meanwhile, preschool students have been entitled to school fees since September 1, 2024, as stipulated in Government Decree No.81.
