JAMBI - Police arrested two oil miners without permission or illegal drilling initials AP and MW from two locations in Batanghari Regency, Jambi.

The Head of Sub-Division of Public Information for Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kompol Amin Nasution, said that AP works as an illegal motorist or oil miner while MW is the driver who transports liquids suspected of being petroleum.

Quoting Antara, Friday, February 28, the arrests of the two perpetrators were carried out at the first two crime scenes in Jebak Village, Muara Tembesi, on Monday, February 24, and in Jangga Aur Village, Bathin 24, on Tuesday, February 25.

The evidence that was also confiscated by the officers was a two-wheeled vehicle, an iron canting pipe (which was used to collect oil from the petroleum well), a rope roller, a katrol, a 35-liter jerry canned vehicle containing a liquid suspected of being petroleum, five reservoirs with a capacity of 1,000 liters containing a liquid suspected of being petroleum, one unit of a blue suction machine and two tubes.

Meanwhile, from the second perpetrator, the officers confiscated a truck, a modified tank with a capacity of 10,000 liters, a black liquid resembling oil of approximately 10,000 liters. From the workers, it is known that the owner of the oil well has the initials WL.

"Currently, the authorities are investigating who the owner is," he said.

The police explained the information from the perpetrators who worked as Molots, in a day they received 10,000 liters of oil. AP perpetrators get a salary of Rp. 50,000 per drum with a capacity of 210 liters.
