Bars To Hotels In Jakarta Mandatory To Close The Day Before Ramadan

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) of DKI Jakarta applies regulations related to bars, spas and kiosks in four and five-star hotels that must be closed the day before Ramadan and the first day of Ramadan 1446 Hijriah.

Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PHRI Regional Leadership Agency (BPD) Lisa P. Sanjoyo said the entertainment venue must also be closed on the eve of Nuzulul Quran, the day before Eid al-Fitr, and the first and second days of Eid al-Fitr.

Bar operates according to its main business provisions, starting at 11.00-01.00 WIB. Meanwhile, spas and cafes operate from 11.00-23.00 WIB. For restaurants, they continue to operate as usual without changing operating hours," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 27.

Meanwhile, the operational time of star and non-star hotels as well as restaurants is running normally as usual.
