The Fate Of Wahono Kolega Rafael Alun In The Case Of The Directorate General Of Taxes Is Still Hanging, The KPK Is Collecting Documents

Wahono's name emerged when the anti-corruption commission investigated allegations of gratification and money laundering (TPPU) of the former Directorate General of Taxes Rafael Alun Trisambodo. He was clarified for his assets after the KPK sniffed out a connection in 2024.

"To our knowledge (the investigation of Wahono, ed) is still ongoing," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters quoted on Thursday, February 26.

Asep did not want to specify where the process would go. He only said that there were a number of difficulties that could have been found by the investigative team, for example, like a document search.

"The difficulty may be collecting documents and others," he said.

Even so, Asep said that this kind of difficulty is common. For example, when the anti-corruption commission investigated the alleged receipt of gratuities that ensnared the former Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, Mohamad Haniv, whose status has now been upgraded to investigation.

Investigators, continued Asep, at that time they had to investigate the transactions carried out by Haniv since 2011. So, he asked for time so that the closed process could be completed immediately.

"So it is really being analyzed. Later, when there is information, we will convey it," he said.

Diberitakan sebelumnya, KPK telah mengusut dugaan penerimaan gratifikasi dan tindak pidana pencucian uang (TPPU) yang dilakukan Rafael Alun Trisambodo selaku eks Pejabat Ditjen Pajak Kemenkeu. Ia divonis hukuman 14 tahun penjara berdasarkan putusan Hakim Pengadilan Tinggi DKI Jakarta pada 7 Maret 2024.

Putusan itu diketok Tjokorda Rai Suamba sebagai hakim ketua dengan hakim anggota Tony Pribadi, Erwan Munawar, hakim-hakim tinggi pada Pengadilan Tinggi DKI Jakarta, serta Margareta Yulie Bartin Setyaningsih, dan Gatut Sulistyo hakim-hakim ad hoc Tipikor pada Pengadilan Tinggi DKI Jakarta.

He was also sentenced to pay a replacement money of Rp. 10,079,095,519. If not paid within 1 month after the decision has permanent legal force or inkrah, his property was confiscated by the prosecutor and auctioned off to cover the replacement money.
